Keep the original story.
The source matters. Our direction is to keep the original recipe alongside its organized version, so context doesn't get lost in the process.
That recipe from the family chat. The link you meant to try. The note you keep coming back to. Matkonchik is being built to bring them into one personal cookbook — with the original close at hand and the final say always yours.

Our starting point isn't another feed of new dishes. It's the recipes people have already found, loved or been handed down — and don't want to lose.
The difference is in the details
A link can disappear. A screenshot can be impossible to search. And an automatically extracted recipe is only useful if it gets the details right. We're designing Matkonchik around what happens after you tap save.
The source matters. Our direction is to keep the original recipe alongside its organized version, so context doesn't get lost in the process.
Ingredients, quantities and steps should be clear and editable — with you reviewing what matters instead of trusting a guess.
Build a personal library that's organized for repeat cooking, with Hebrew search and a cookbook feel at its core.
One recipe, two things worth keeping
We're working toward a simple flow: retain the source, organize the practical details, and let the cook check them before they become part of their collection.
Illustrative product direction, not a screen from the live build. Exact import coverage and workflows are still being developed and tested.
Hebrew-first. Not Hebrew-later.
Hebrew isn't a translation we plan to add later. Right-to-left reading, familiar recipe language and finding the dish you're looking for are foundations of the product, not afterthoughts.
Designed with Israeli home cooks in mind, from the first screen onward.
Where we are now
Matkonchik is in active development and testing. The imagery and interface examples on this page show our design direction, not the current test build or a finished product. Features described here are goals we are working toward.
